Job Summary
Prepare or direct food preparation in accordance with approved menus, recipes, and sanitation standards. Monitor and record food temperatures during storage, cooking, holding, and serving while maintaining a clean working environment. Oversee dietary personnel and report safety, equipment, or illness issues to leadership promptly. Assist with purchasing, inventory, and electronic meal service information as directed. Treat residents and staff with respect and patience.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with food preparation
- Demonstrated cooking skills and ability to follow menus and recipes
- Able to work well with others
- Must be flexible, detail-orientation, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team
