Job Summary
Cook responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food for residents, families and visitors, overseeing and coordinating kitchen staff involved in the cooking process, ensuring proper preparation, portioning, and serving according to standardized recipes, and following sanitation, safety, and HIPAA requirements. Maintains a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents and families, communicates in an understandable way, collaborates with management and culinary staff, supports menu or recipe changes aligned with dietician guidelines, and participates in trainings and mandatory meetings. Performs essential kitchen operations, adheres to attendance policies, and coordinates culinary assistants while taking initiative on special projects and ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
