Job Summary
Prep and prepare meals under the guidance of the Dining Services Director, ensuring they are nutritional, appetizing, and presented attractively. Deliver meals while maintaining cleanliness and safety, adhering to health department regulations and infection control procedures. Greet elders, families, and visitors to foster a positive environment, assist in orienting new team members, and ensure equipment is maintained. Work weekends and holidays in shifts from 7am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- formal training in the culinary arts or equivalent experience as a cook
- food handlers permit or ability to get one as required by state regulations
- ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English
- ability to pass a criminal background check
- ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation
- willingness to learn and work within a team environment
- organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- willingness to learn and work within a team environment
- willingness to work weekends and holidays rotation
