Job Summary
The Cook position involves preparing and cooking orders in a fast-paced kitchen, controlling food usage to minimize waste, and maintaining high sanitation standards. Responsibilities include advising supervisors on inventory levels, restocking items, and promoting teamwork through communication with other departments. Candidates should have at least one year of cooking experience, strong knowledge of culinary practices, and be proficient in reading, writing, and basic math. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various kitchen duties.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking on a fast paced kitchen line and food preparation experience
- Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Strong communication skills for interaction with other kitchen staff and supervisors
- Reading and writing abilities for recipe preparation and scheduling
- Mathematical skills for calculations related to food preparation
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency

- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
