Job Summary
Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold food items across all culinary outlets. Requires prior culinary experience, strong knife skills, and solid understanding of culinary terminology, techniques, and safe food-handling practices. Perform duties efficiently and in alignment with department standards to ensure high-quality food and guest satisfaction. Adheres to safety, department policies, and JW Marriott Core Values; contributes to teamwork and guest service while supporting smooth kitchen operations and timely service. Able to follow recipes, manage time effectively, and communicate with team; able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs as needed. Health card required; position located in Las Vegas, NV.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year experience in culinary food service
- Strong culinary foundation with knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality
- Efficient time management and organization
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina for kitchen work
- Valid Clark County Health Card
