Job Summary
Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards while operating kitchen equipment safely. Assist in establishing the food production line to ensure timely meal preparation and serve high-quality presentations to residents. Assure all dietary procedures are followed and represent the community positively when interacting with families. Requires knowledge of food service laws, leadership ability, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs in a primarily standing role. Schedule-stabilizing hours are available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of dietary experience
- Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary Arts training preferred
