Job Summary
Prepare and portion foods for the resort's food and beverage outlets; possess a solid background in making soups, stocks, grilling and roasts with knowledge of varied methods and techniques; handle knives and operate all kitchen equipment safely; assume control of the kitchen in the absence of a Sous Chef; follow the kitchen chain of command (Chefs, Cook I, II, III); take an active role in the training of new cooks; assist the Chef in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen; travel not required; full-time benefits include health, retirement, paid time off; work environment includes wet/humid conditions and extreme heat; Bass Pro Shops is an equal opportunity employer; requires ability to read/write and communicate effectively; requires physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs; background in culinary field with 2-4 years experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in culinary field preferred.
