Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and distribute food for patients, residents, staff, cafeteria, and special functions according to approved menus and time schedules. Meet standards for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency while delivering excellent customer service using established scripts. Ensure all dietary procedures follow policies and complete daily cleaning in accordance with approved standards. Make recommendations to the leader for menu adjustments and coordinate workflow within the multidisciplinary Food Services team. Requires Cook/Pre-cook experience, a ServSafe certificate, and ability to work Monday-Friday 4:00am-12:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Cook/ Pre-cook experience
- High School or GED Equivalent
- ServSafe Certificate
- Less than 1 year Food service/cooking related education and/or training
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
