Job Summary
Cook in a Skilled Nursing Facility responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plating and garnishing dishes, following standardized recipes, and assisting the Dietary Manager in their absence. Requires classical training and experience in a high-volume culinary environment. Responsibilities include cleaning, inventory management & purchasing, rotation of stock, recipe development & compliance, and handling last-minute requests for special events. Position involves working in a healthcare-hospitality setting within Easton, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Classically trained & experienced in a high-volume culinary environment
- Accurately and efficiently cook an assortment of meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner
- Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
- Plate and garnish cooked items; prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu items
- Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager in their absence
- Follow & prepare standardized recipes
- Clean the kitchen before and after food service; clean all kitchen equipment
- Inventory management & purchasing; rotation of stock
- Recipe development & compliance
- Capable of handling last minute requests for special events
