Job Summary
Cook Associate responsible for preparing authentic Mexican dishes and related tasks: prepare sauces and salsa bar, make fresh waters, fruit cocktails, and handmade corn tortillas; assist with pre-production preparation, maintain clean and sanitized taqueria areas (including salsa bar and refrigerators), ensure condiments and cutlery are stocked, provide excellent customer service, and follow Health Department guidelines. Maintain cleanliness, organize work area, and assist with reporting equipment hazards; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience in the taqueria area, restaurant or kitchen
- Ability to read at an eighth-grade level
- Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Knowledge of the weight and volume measurements
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
