Job Summary
Cook prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with menus and dietary standards in an assisted-living facility; ensures foods are cooked and held at proper temperatures, records temperatures, and collaborates with the supervisor to review menus and substitutions. Maintains a clean, safe work area and proper storage/labeling of foods per Federal, State, and Prestige policies. Partners with dietary staff to ensure equipment is working and at the correct temperature, follows fire safety and infection control practices, and assists in planning for special meals/events. Requires at least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant or hospital dietary department and State certification or food service license. High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

- A minimum of one year experience cooking in a restaurant or the dietary department of a hospital or similar environment
- Must have required State certification or food service license
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
