Cook Assistant Custodian - (Nogales Area)

Cook Assistant Custodian supports Head Start center kitchens by helping with food service and custodial duties. Responsibilities include assisting in meals preparation and afternoon snacks, maintaining kitchen sanitation to meet CACFP and Head Start standards, keeping inventory and ordering food, handling food storage, and ensuring meals meet nutrition standards. Duties also include dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, classroom cleaning, restroom and office cleaning, preparing playground spaces, and maintaining records of meals served. Reports to the Lead Cook and may work a split shift; 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, in-person at Western Head Start in Nogales, AZ. Requires effective communication, time-management, and basic math to keep costs within standards; must obtain required immunizations, criminal background check, and appropriate certifications within specified timelines.
