Job Summary
Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service by providing high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet residents' individual nutrition needs. Maintain compliance with the Food Control Plan while collaborating with the team to deliver a first-class dining experience. Practice and promote the 'Eating Well' philosophy alongside other team members to meet internal gold standards. This full-time role includes 40 hours per week and weekend availability. Previous commercial kitchen experience, exceptional cooking skills, and a current NZ Food Safety Certificate are required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe
- Exceptional cooking and baking skills
- Excellent food hygiene practices and a commitment to safe working practices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management
- Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Honesty, reliability, and integrity
- Current NZ Food Safety Certificate
- Availability to work weekends
