Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing meals in a state facility according to established menus and recipes, ensuring meals are cooked to the correct temperatures and quality standards, maintaining cleanliness and proper equipment operation, monitoring inventory, and assisting visitors and staff as needed. The role requires following food safety regulations, accurate portioning and plating of meals, and collaborating with kitchen staff to meet daily meal service goals. Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Food Certification within six months of hire.
