Prepare meals, snacks, and supplements in a safe and sanitary manner for hospital patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining adequate food quantities for cafeteria services. Plan pre-preparation activities by obtaining supplies and equipment, then replenish cafeteria items and assist in assembling patient meal trays. Operate and clean cooking utensils and equipment, ensuring the preparation area remains safe and sanitary. Preserve and store leftover foods with appropriate labels and dates, and assist in storage for Dietetic Services. May support requisition, inventory, and vending duties. Requires a high school diploma, one year of food preparation experience, valid food handler permit, and ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic.
