Job Summary
Follow recipes to timely fill food orders with consistent taste, quality, and presentation while preparing and setting up food for all stations according to par sheet specifications. Control food costs and waste through proper labeling, storing, and rotating of all ingredients. Maintain awareness of kitchen equipment and food levels, advising management of any potential concerns or outages. Enforce all safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring checklists are completed within prescribed timeframes. Foster positive working relationships within the kitchen team and other restaurant departments. Requires high school diploma, one year of culinary experience, ability to lift 50lbs, and 11 hours of standing on concrete surfaces. Seasonal full-time role at Angry Orchard Cidery in Walden, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of culinary/kitchen experience (high-volume establishment preferred)
- Working knowledge of executing recipes
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
- Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
- Interface with computer systems with precision
- Ability to handle kitchen and service equipment
