Job Summary
Cook and Housekeeper at The Village Network's residential facilities: responsibilities include assisting with meal preparation and service for residents and staff, maintaining kitchen inventory and cleanliness, assisting with budgeting and food cost goals, completing USDA Food Programs documentation, catering for special events, stocking supplies, and supporting housekeeping duties in common areas; duties also include assisting with the behavioral management of the residential campus when not performing primary tasks; requires high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and experience in large residential or building housekeeping and large-group food preparation; valid Ohio driver’s license; ability to work with youth and multi-disciplinary team; strong organizational, multitasking, and confidentiality skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree/GED required
- Must be 21 years of age
- 1+ year of previous experience with large residential or building housekeeping responsibilities and 1+ years of previous experience in food preparation for larger groups of people
- Previous experience in working with children/adolescents helpful
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines and requirements
- Must possess basic reading, writing, and math skills to complete necessary documents
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance
