Job Summary
Prepare all food items using standardized recipes for the Restaurant/Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets while maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality, and cost control. Ensure kitchen and work area cleanliness, sanitation, and safety; minimize waste; and rotate food items according to hotel procedures. Complete necessary food and station preparations before opening, maintain post on kitchen lines during operating hours, and breakdown buffets and equipment at the end of each meal period. Approach guests and associates with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor; maintain proper grooming and uniform; and comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, regulations, and emergency procedures. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment while practicing safe work habits to avoid injury.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
