Cook position at AgeWell Solvere Living and The Monarch at Cedar Park seeking a Community Cook to prepare meals for Residents in compliance with dietary standards and community policies. Responsibilities include preparing food items from the daily menu, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, monitoring inventory, supervising servers in the absence of the Food & Beverage Director, ensuring Resident diets are followed, and maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and safety. Must be proficient with kitchen equipment (ovens, slicers, mixers, steam tables, steamers, toasters, coffee pots, refrigerators, freezers), able to cook large quantities, guide others in food preparation and service, work with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively with staff and Residents. Requires Serv Safe Certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40-50 pounds, and operate in a hot/humid environment. This is a part-time role located in Austin, TX with on-site work.
