Job Summary
Cook role in Cedar Ridge Village (West Des Moines, IA) responsible for preparing meals per cycle menus, monitoring food handling and sanitation, ensuring meal service meets temperature goals, assisting with inventory and receiving, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and creating a restaurant-style dining experience for residents in a senior living community. Shifts include 6am-2:30pm (6 days) and part-time weekend options; opportunities for full-time (30+ hours) or part-time (up to 29 hours) weekly. Requires high school diploma; culinary training preferred; Serv Safe certification within the first year. Emphasis on following safety codes, infection control procedures, participating in staff meetings and in-service programs, and understanding CMS/CDC protocols. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Culinary or equivalent training preferred
