Job Summary
Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality food is attractively presented and served in a timely fashion. Maintain strict health protocols by following proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and temperature controls. Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences, participating in orientations to connect with the community. This full-time role at Curtis Creek Senior Living in Quincy, IL, runs Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00am to 1:30pm. You must be at least 18 years old, hold a current Food Handlers Card, and possess strong communication skills. The position requires physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in extreme temperatures. Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents
- Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff
- Ability to be active (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day)
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfort to be in close contact to extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events
- Criminal clearance
