Job Summary
Ensure products meet all recipe standards while maintaining proper production levels and staffing. Prepare food items per guest order including breakfast, entrees, and desserts; slice, dice, and carve meats with proper portioning and garnishing. Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment, manage par levels of supplies, and ensure proper food handling and storage per Health Department standards. Provide fast, friendly customer service to the culinary team and guests. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in designated areas. Requires two years of high-volume food service experience, Serve Safe certification, and ability to work in high temperatures. Base salary is $16.00.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain Serve Safe certification
- Two years prior experience as cook in high volume food service operation
- High School diploma preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
- Written communication skills in in English may also be required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance
- Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
- Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperatures
- Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing
- Must present a well-groomed appearance
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team Members must be drug free
