Job Summary
Prepare, execute, and deliver safely handled food to customer-facing employees for service. Maintain a friendly, positive attitude while reporting for scheduled events and fulfilling assigned opening and closing duties. Carry out tasks using correct recipes, ensuring constant maintenance of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and all work areas. Communicate with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management regarding prep lists and timelines. Work as a team with fellow associates and service departments, paying close attention to detail to keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and orderly. Know the kitchen layout and back-of-house areas, including first aid offices and staircases, to direct staff and guests. Complete checkout with the manager or supervisor and adapt to flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Degree or certificate in culinary arts
- Two (2) to four (4) years working in a fast paced restaurant, caterer or other relevant food service area
- Proactive

- Clean and constantly aware of sanitation procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to read and retain information
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

- Ability to move quickly and act on assigned duties
- Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, kneel, lift (at least 30 pounds), carry items, push carts, walk at a fast pace, and bend down
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
