Job Summary
Cook 2 position on a full-time basis across multiple campus kitchens. Responsibilities include on-line cooking and plating of meats, vegetables, soups, and breakfast items in large quantities, ensuring proper temperatures and food safety, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areas, communicating with the Sous Chef and Cook 3, and potentially operating a golf cart for campus-wide tasks. Candidates should have strong culinary skills, ability to work independently in several kitchen stations, and experience with a range of cooking techniques (grilling, sauteing, frying, roasting, steaming). A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and candidates must obtain a Maricopa County food handler’s card within 30 days and meet any driving- or certification-related requirements. The role includes pre-employment screenings and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Has knowledge of Maricopa County food regulations and sanitation requirements
- Has experience working on a cook’s line in a professional, full-service restaurant environment
- Has experience with a variety of cooking techniques (grilling, sauteing, frying, roasting, steaming)
- Must be able to read and understand a variety of materials including menus, orders, labels, and recipes

- Education: Preferably high school diploma or GED equivalent
- If driving duties apply, has a current valid driver’s license; driving record must meet insurance criteria
