Job Summary
Cook 2 responsible for set-up, daily prep, and organization of a workstation with emphasis on high-quality food presentation. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, overseeing production of menu items, assisting in menu planning, recipe development, and testing, receiving and storing goods, coordinating with Cook 1 and Cook 3, supervising and instructing junior staff as needed, interacting professionally with members and guests, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver the 3-steps of service. Requires understanding culinary techniques and the ability to take on more complex tasks relative to Cook 1, with leadership support for Cook 3, under supervision of the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 4 years of kitchen experience
- Valid Food Handler Certification as required by state/city regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs
