Job Summary
Cook 2 responsible for setup, food preparation, and organization of workstation with high standards of quality and presentation. Works with Cook 1 and Cook 3 to ensure smooth kitchen operations, supports leadership, and undertakes more complex tasks than Cook 1. Responsibilities include preparing and storing food items, maintaining sanitation, coordinating daily prep, assisting in menu planning, recipe development, testing products, and accommodating dietary needs. May assist in serving meals for small groups or events, supervise Cook 1 and others when needed, manage supplies, address guest needs, and contribute to a positive team environment while adhering to safety and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the kitchen environment
- Valid Food Handler Certifications as required by state and city regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs intermittently
