Job Summary
Cook 2 responsible for set-up, food preparation, and organization of the workstation with a focus on high standards of food quality and presentation. Works closely with Cook 1 and Cook 3 to ensure smooth kitchen operations, assists in menu planning and recipe development, manages closing and storage processes, maintains cleanliness and sanitation, and supports supervision of junior team members. Requires strong culinary techniques, ability to execute daily prep, coordinate with leadership, and deliver consistent service to members and guests, including accommodating dietary needs and special requests. Must participate in safety practices, complete required certifications, and be prepared for variable schedules including weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef and upholds Invited’s standards of professionalism and guest service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years experience in kitchen environment
- Valid Food Handler Certifications as required by state and city regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform in a kitchen environment
