Job Summary
Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality food is attractively presented and served in a timely fashion. Ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and correct food temperatures. Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs, participating in resident orientations. Work Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday shifts from 2:30pm to 6:30pm at Cedar Trails in Freeburg, IL. This role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds, with comfort in extreme temperatures. Candidates must be 18 or older, hold a current Food Handlers Card, and be criminally cleared.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents
- Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff
- Ability to be active (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day)
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfort to be in close contact to extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events
- Criminal clearance
