Job Summary
Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality food is presented attractively and on time. Maintain strict health protocols by following proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and temperature controls. Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences, participating in resident orientations. This full-time role at Vitalia Montrose in Copley, OH, requires working Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 11:30am to 7:30pm. You must be at least 18, possess a current Food Handlers Card, and demonstrate leadership, training, and supervision skills. The position involves active work including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents
- Current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff
- Ability to be active (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day)
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfort to be in close contact to extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events
- Criminal clearance
