Job Summary
Culinary-focused cook role responsible for preparing all menu items per established standards and recipes, ensuring high-quality presentation and timely service in a residential senior living setting. Duties include maintaining health protocols (hygiene, sanitation, proper food temperatures), engaging with residents to understand preferences, and participating in resident orientations. Requires 18+; English proficiency; current Food Handlers Card; ability to lead, train, and supervise teammates; and physical ability to stand, move, and lift up to 50 pounds; willingness to work in indoor kitchens and outdoor event settings. Part-time shift Friday and Saturday from 11:30am–7:30pm at Vitalia Solon, Solon, OH.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- English literacy and communication with residents
- Current Food Handlers Card as per Department of Health
- Leadership, training, and supervision skills
- Able to stand/walk/bend/kneel/stoop all day
- Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable with extreme temperatures (cook area and walk-ins)
- Indoor work with some outdoor events
- Criminal background check cleared
