Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals in a hospital/nursing care facility setting per planned menus and dietary guidelines; assist in planning regular and special diet menus; work with the dietary department to implement changes; ensure food and supplies are ready for service and maintain inventory; rotate weekends with no late-night hours; lift up to 50 lbs and stand 8+ hours daily; requires teamwork, reliability, and ability to work in well-lit/ventilated areas; operate in accordance with established policies and procedures and under direction of the Certified Dietary Manager.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, preferred
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
