Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines while maintaining consistent food quality, taste, temperature, and presentation throughout service. Set up and maintain assigned workstations, ensuring all required ingredients and equipment are ready for service. Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper storage while following FIFO procedures to minimize food waste. Support the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine with the daily operation of the kitchen and assist with the preparation and execution of special events, functions, and high-volume services as required. Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift. Communicate effectively with Culinary and Food & Beverage colleagues to ensure efficient and timely service, provide guidance and support to junior culinary colleagues when required, and participate in training, meetings, and other departmental initiatives as required. Uphold Five Diamond, Forbes Five-Star, and brand service standards in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous professional culinary experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting or carrying items as required
- Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

- Culinary education or recognized culinary certification
