Job Summary
Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and special catered events. Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance while complying with all dress code requirements. Follow recipes unsupervised and operate kitchen equipment with familiarity. Work nights, weekends, and holidays in a flexible schedule, standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 pounds. Maintain a professional relationship with coworkers, vendors, and client representatives while presenting a positive attitude.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
- Must comply with any dress code requirements
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 15.88 kilograms / 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 22.68 kilograms / 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Significant walking or other means of mobility
- Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods)
- Commitment to safety, respect, and inclusion
- Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred
- Ability to use a computer
- Good working knowledge of food preparation
