Job Summary
Senior Director of Legal Operations leads firm-wide operations, HR, IT, finance dashboards, and policy implementation to ensure efficient, profitable operation; partners with Owner and leadership to drive growth, accountability, and continuous improvement; oversees non-attorney staff and training; designs disaster preparedness and business continuity plans. Builds and optimizes firm-wide policies, procedures, systems, and technologies; manages budgets; drives operational projects including software implementations; ensures compliance and service quality while reducing overhead; collaborates on vendor management and risk control; develops internal communication strategies and executive-level reporting through dashboards and KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in legal operations or law firm management
- Strong HR leadership experience including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compliance
- Experience managing non-attorney staff (e.g., reception, paralegals, legal secretaries, HR)
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Systems-oriented mindset with track record of scalable process-building
- Comfort with data, dashboards, and KPIs
- Ability to work with ownership and exercise delegated authority
