Conveyor Specialist / Application Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical support and solutions to internal and external stakeholders across APAC while conducting regular field inspections of belts, conveyor systems, and other products to troubleshoot perceived problems. Apply product engineering tools to specify belt selection, perform onsite inspections to review product performance, and initiate optimization or development projects. Track belt performance, collate BIG DATA for analysis, and conduct internal root cause analysis in-house or on site. Create site visit reports, observe internal or external testing, and coordinate field trials for product performance evaluation. Build a global network and participate in worldwide projects, providing mentoring to team members from other departments on products and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Regular travel
- Comprehensive product knowledge relating to conveyor belts and systems
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships with external clients
- University degree in Engineering or Science
- 2-3 years professional experience in project management, technical sales, application engineering, technical consulting or R&D
- Project management experience specifically within an international business environment
- Experience working with intercultural and interdisciplinary teams
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Advanced computer literacy skills, in particular Microsoft Office 365
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Knowledge of and exposure to conveyor belts
- University degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Project management experience specifically within an international business environment is highly desirable
- Experience working with intercultural and interdisciplinary teams
