Conveyance Supervisor, 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Lead the 3rd shift team by planning daily work assignments, establishing priorities for 100% on-time delivery, and facilitating start-of-shift meetings to communicate SQDC expectations. Serve as the first point of contact for Team Members, coordinate cross-training plans, and manage the Floor Management System to post results. Enforce safety compliance, audit work instructions, and determine root causes for nonconformances to drive Kaizen activities and continual improvement. Step into production assignments as needed and act as an interim leader during Section Manager absences. Extend shift by 30 minutes on each end to cover the full rotation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Three-year related experience and/or training
  • 5 to 7 years of experience
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting activities with minimal direction after training
  • Ability to recognize bottlenecks and adjust plan/manpower as necessary
  • Ability to read and understand Kanban and match Kanban to part
  • Ability to use calipers for measuring parts
  • Ability to use hand tools, understand and perform required techniques
  • Ability to identify problems and come up with appropriate solutions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawing, quality specifications and engineering specifications
  • Ability to be familiar with the use of industrial equipment and mechanical tools
  • Ability to read the Production Schedule
  • Ability to work in a Windows computer environment with proficiency in excel
  • Ability to look up Work instructions or reference documents
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Ability to extend shift by 30 minutes on each end
