Job Summary
Lead plant employees on the 2nd shift to ship quality corrugated products safely and productively with minimum waste. Maintain quality, efficiency, and production levels while reporting concerns to management and assisting in setting quality guidelines. Directly supervise all shift staff through training, work assignment, discipline, conflict resolution, and coaching. Coordinate production activity with sales, customer service, and maintenance teams to ensure proper order handling. Conduct daily production and safety meetings, enforce corrective action procedures, and manage labor budgeting and overtime. Make decisions to avoid shift change problems and improve team morale through fairness and consistent support.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Shift Supervisor
- Must be willing to work directly in production as needed, this is not a desk job
- Must maintain certification in CPR/AED/First Aid
- Must maintain certification in forklift operation
- Previous industrial/manufacturing supervisory experience
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in working with corrugated packaging equipment such as flexo folder gluers, rotary diecutters, balers, conveyors, unitizers and load formers
