Job Summary

Operate assigned converting department equipment while performing quality checks at set-ups and specified intervals. Assist in adjusting equipment to correct production and quality problems, maximizing outputs. Communicate pertinent information regarding equipment conditions or operating problems to the Shift Lead. Complete production reports, job orders, quality check reports, and pallet labels, recording and calculating pounds, bags, and times. Prepare boxes, wickets, and packaging supplies while monitoring equipment and working conditions for safety. Perform assigned housekeeping duties and report any unsafe conditions. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read safety rules and interpret diagrams, and lifting capacity up to 65 pounds. Must complete all current training required by law and American Film and Printing.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • The ability to compute and interpret basic math formulas, percentages, charts and graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, ore schedule form
  • Must have completed all current training required by law and by American Film and Printing
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
