Job Summary
Set up and tear down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and equipment for all games, meetings, functions, and events. Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, tug, boom lifts, and bobcats under OSHA specifications while performing manual labor and heavy lifting. Assist with load-ins and load-outs, execute work orders to meet event needs, and handle repair and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, and equipment fixes. Maintain a safe work environment by reporting irregularities, discrepancies, and safety concerns promptly. Work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a high-noise facility environment, standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 2 years of general labor and/or operations experience
- Ability to use heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tug, boom lift, bobcat etc. with precision and accuracy
- Certification and license where applicable
- Ability to become certified
- Working knowledge of safety requirements, public facility/venue standards, building systems and infrastructure
- Ability to adjust schedule on short notice
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet business deadlines
- Adaptable through change
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: ice installation, general maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, audio visual, computer energy management systems and related codes and regulations for each
- Knowledge of and compliance with Federal and State OSHA regulations, safety practices
- Ability to work in large crowds for an extended period of time
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand

- Knowledge of practices related to event set-up and conversion, methods and techniques for maintaining the facility and proper use and care of equipment and tools
