Conversion Technician

Job Summary
Conduct set up and tear down of arena and conversion equipment for events including hockey, basketball, and concerts, handling dasher boards, glass, staging, tales, and chairs. Maintain a clean and neat appearance while working cooperatively with all staff members. Monitor and report to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, or safety concerns. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and rules to assure the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guests. Stand for long periods, walk long distances, and climb stairs in crowded areas or loud environments. Lift and carry up to 50lbs and work at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks. Work flexible schedules including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Prior guest service experience a plus
- Good time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to multitask and take direction well
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
- Must be able to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
- Must be able to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
- Must be able to work in loud environments
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction
- Must be able to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
