Job Summary
Operates converting lines in the Converting Department, performing equipment set-ups and changeovers, and aligning components (web, turning bars, hole punches, sealing hands, and attachments) as trained. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment issues, coordinates with Maintenance, and adheres to work orders and quality control procedures. Conducts documented quality checks every 3 hours, follows scrap-control policies, and maintains a clean, safe work environment. Responsible for weighing/packing bags or skids, moving materials, and reporting maintenance issues to the Lead Operator. Works a 12-hour shift with day/night schedules, including weekends and holidays, and is expected to accommodate non-standard hours. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior factory experience in a plastic film environment preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- read a ruler and perform simple arithmetic
- ability to solve practical problems and be self-directed
- prior factory experience with plastic film manufacturer preferred
