Job Summary
Sales Associate at a convenience-store setting responsible for representing and promoting store operations, maintaining cleanliness, unpacking and stocking products, greeting customers, meeting and greeting customers as they enter, sustaining stock/inventory, following food preparation methods and portion sizes, suggesting beverages or food as a sale, and completing sales transactions quickly and accurately. The role involves completing daily cleaning checklists, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers and associates, and performing any special tasks assigned. The position can be full-time or part-time and is non-exempt and hourly, with up to 40 hours per week, based in Hammond, IN.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% customer focus
