Job Summary
Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, bottle refunds, voids, and coupons accurately. Assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking products while maintaining a clean, well-stocked department and outside grounds. Run the cash register, perform suggestive selling, enroll guests in loyalty programs, and ensure proper use of product identification and PLU's. Communicate in-store specials, coupons, and company programs to customers while complying with safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines. This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds frequently, and may involve travel. A high school diploma or GED is required, with one year of retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of prior retail or related experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a retail store environment with varied temperatures
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to comply with PPE and Safety Guidelines
- Ability to comply with Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
- Ability to comply with Guest Experience Guidelines
- Ability to comply with Company policies regarding security, cash handling/cash drawer accounting procedures
- Ability to comply with Company policies regarding product handling
- Ability to comply with Company policies regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco products
- Ability to comply with Company guidelines for guest experience
- Ability to comply with Company guidelines for safety and food safety
Desired Qualifications
