Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation while performing machine setup, start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers. Load and stage raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, then conduct quality inspections and complete required production and traceability documentation. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, clear jams, replace components, and assist with routine preventive maintenance while following all safety, food safety, GMP, SOP, Lockout/Tagout, and PPE requirements. Maintain accurate product coding, packaging, and quality standards, communicate production and equipment issues with supervisors, and participate in required training to maintain qualification records. Work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a paper manufacturing facility with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and dust.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of continuous employment
- Physically demanding role: exposure to temperature extremes, noise, dust, and chemicals
- Perform manual labor: standing, bending, climbing, and using tools for 12-hour shifts
- Lift up to 40 lbs frequently
- Wear required PPE (eye/ear protection, steel-toe shoes)
- Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial or paper manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with work order systems
- Experience with forklifts
