Job Summary
The role leads Strategy & Governance within the Central Testing’s SG&A function, coordinating engagement with risk and control stakeholders, regulators, and internal teams to define operating models and drive learning programs. Responsibilities include overseeing Learning & Development, developing a comprehensive training curriculum for CTU staff, pursuing external certifications, and proactively addressing emerging learning needs. The incumbent will lead, mentor, and manage global teams, balance multiple initiatives, ensure timely delivery of program deliverables, and influence senior management decisions. Key activities include coordinating with second/third lines, driving development of testing and control capabilities (CDA, OEM, OET), and applying risk remediation across the control testing lifecycle. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and governance skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement across controls practices and collaboration across geographies.
Required Qualifications
- Min 10-12+ years of experience leading strategy, governance, transformation or relevant roles in financial services
- In-depth knowledge of operational & compliance risk management framework (Manager’s Control Assessment)
- Experience in design and/or assessment of controls
- Strong analytical and communication skills for influencing senior management
- Understanding of Citi’s businesses and risk profiles across geographies is a plus
- Bachelor's/University degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Ability to lead planning, directing and coordinating day-to-day activities to deliver key projects
- Ability to foster relationships with leaders across multiple lines of business
- Demonstrated judgement, critical thinking and ownership
- Experience working with global teams and cross-cultural collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver milestones on time
- Leadership and ability to mentor and motivate a high-performing team
