Job Summary
Install and service building automation systems at customer sites. Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications to install temperature control systems including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices. Prepare for on-site installation by assessing building layout, coordinating with other trades, and managing on-site materials. Maintain inventory and complete required paperwork and reports. Serve as the primary company contact to customers, diagnose and repair equipment and systems at the job site, and stay current on Direct Digital Control (DDC) products. Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays; work overtime as needed. Emphasize safety and provide comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical School or formal training is preferred
- Typically at least 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and handheld devices (smartphone, iPad)
- Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics (board level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques
- Current or future participation in ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for minimum 12 months with clean driving record
- Previous experience with DDC controls system preferred
