Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, vision systems, sensors, safety circuits, and network/communication systems on automated weld cells. Diagnose and resolve industrial robot faults by teaching and adjusting points, recovering programs, and restoring cells to production. Support weld-equipment controls, including power sources, torch systems, and related automation. Read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC/ladder logic, and robot programs to isolate faults. Make controlled program and parameter changes under established change control, validate before returning equipment to production, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance. Respond rapidly to downtime events, perform structured root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to restore uptime. Coordinate with maintenance technicians to obtain spare parts and accurately document work orders and equipment history in the CMMS.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen)
- Must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays)
- Must have valid drivers' license
- 3+ years of industrial controls / automation maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley / Siemens) and industrial robot experience (e.g., FANUC / ABB)
- Working knowledge of servo, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, vision systems, sensors, and industrial networks
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and robot programs
- Familiarity with LOTO/electrical safety, IATF 16949, and CMMS systems
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
