Controls Technician - Systems Software Engineer II

Job Summary
Develop lower and mid-level control systems databases and programs, then install them into Building Management Systems (BMS) for assigned projects. Execute initial point-to-point commissioning activities, participate in final systems functional testing including LEED and Title 24 testing, and address network-related troubleshooting issues. Lead field coordination with installing subcontractors, conduct pre-functional testing of system software code, and manage end-user training and project turnover to the Service team. Assist Design Engineers in validating sequence of operations against contract requirements while coordinating with project staff to manage field time and adhere to budgets. Requires an Associate degree or 2-5 years of experience in building automation systems, a valid California driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders frequently on construction sites.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field
- 2-5 years of related work experience in building automation systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Technical school training
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in Windows
- Basic TCP/IP network structure knowledge
- Valid California drivers license
