Job Summary
Controls Technician provides maintenance and support for production lines and facilities equipment, installing, fabricating, troubleshooting, repairing, moving, and maintaining a wide variety of equipment and systems. Responsibilities include handling mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation equipment; installing new machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting layout changes. Requires strong knowledge of electronics, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical theory; 3-5 years of journeyman-level maintenance experience; must lift up to 50 pounds and possess forklift certification or training; must provide personal tools. First and second shifts are available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years' experience in general production maintenance including craft skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at journeyman level.
- Preferred - Certification in electronics, electrical, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory
- Must have valid Forklift Operator's license or pass required training
- Must provide hand tools and tool box
