Controls Technician

Job Summary

Provide technical support to set-up, manufacturing, and engineering personnel across all manufacturing phases. Troubleshoot, identify, and maintain controls systems including PLC, Vision, Robotics, and Servo. Conduct manufacturing process verification and develop work standards for tools and equipment in the designated area. Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime, cycle time, and scrap while improving overall equipment effectiveness. Serve as the first-line responder to investigate root causes of process variances and equipment downtime, implementing immediate and long-term corrective actions. Communicate with process engineering and support staff to ensure robust solutions and assist in developing quality procedures and standards compliant with ISO/IATF systems.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in area of Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering Technology
  • minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting PLCs, Vision Systems, Robotics, and/or Servo Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to establish communication with all controls systems in area of responsibility for troubleshooting and programming purposes
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lead, train, and support other staff
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness, Unity, Empowerment
